Why did i choose this subject?
In Christmas 2005 I recieved a video game called "Medal of Honor".
It was then that I became interested in WWII because that is what the game is all about, WWII and the different countries
involved. In each level I would travel to different countries in Europe fighting the Germans. Between each level in the game
there was actual film footage of the war and a narrator commenting on the action happening in the film. It was very interesting
and I learned alot, but I wanted to know more. After some research on the internet and library, as well as, talking
to my grandparents in Russia and Newfoundland I learned to respect what my ancestors went through and sacrificed to
make a better world for future generations.

My name is Misha Kozmenko and I am a grade 5 student at St. Mary's
Elementary school in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. I am in Mrs. Best's class and I really like all my classmates, teachers
and my school.
